Automotive: Gorham Incorporated has sold indirectly to the automotive marketplace for decades. Our customers are direct suppliers to the big 3 and Asian transplants. Some of our customers in this market provide electo-mechanical solenoids and controls, brake assemblies, seats, exhaust systems, and actuators. The type of products that we have typically sold into this market range from: metal stampings, brackets, powdered metal goods, castings, plastics & aluminum extrusions. Many of our principals have the necessary TS16949 quality certification.
Aerospace: Gorham Incorporated shines in this area because we represent manufacturers that have the credentials required to sell into the aerospace market. Selling into the market requires manufacturing parts that require very tight tolerances that can be repeated on consistent basis. Our principal currently provides worm gears and ball screws used in ailerons, flaps, thrusters, along with lead screws and linear actuators. Certification to AS9100B is often required which our manufacturer poses.
Building & Construction: We would classify this category as heavy equipment manufacturers such as earth moving equipment and mining equipment. Our success selling this market ranges from knobs and handles to metal fabrications, laser cut products and metal stampings. All these products are generally made to a print to exacting tolerances.
Commercial: This category is a wide conglomeration of manufacturers and industries. Products successfully sold to this category range from metal stampings, machined components, fasteners, aluminum extrusions and seals.
