Your Source for both Screw Machining and Swiss Screw Machining

SCREW MACHINING is the process of rapidly spinning lathes that shave metal down to the desired size. There are 2 major types of screw machines: Turret and Swiss. Both processes are able to perform more precise work as a byproduct of their tight configuration and tooling. Swiss screw machines are superior to Turret style machines in their ability to output more precise work due to their ability to add additional types of tooling fixtures.

CNC SWISS SCREW MACHINES provide the ability to deliver the small,
high precision parts necessary for the manufacturing of critical
components. Swiss screw machining is perfect for close tolerance and
complex parts, and is capable of running different grades of metal and
plastic. CNC Swiss screw machines allow engineers to explore different
options to improve performance and reduce cost, while achieving a high
level of detail and precision.

Your Source for Powder Metal Components

January 25th, 2022

Are you looking for a new application, or have the need to improve upon an application that already exists? We can offer exclusive engineering assistance for conversions of other process designed components to high quality Powder Metal Components with significant cost savings and minimal waste during production.

Many Material Options Available
Step one: Choose the metal powder material which will produce the component properties that meet or exceed the customer’s expectations in their application.
Options include iron, bronze, brass, stainless steel, magnetic blends, and more.

Create Complex or Unique Shapes
Step two: Compact the chosen raw material into the net shape and sinter the part. This process is done without the scrap that most other processes produce, and holds very tight tolerances without secondary operations, giving the powder metal process an edge in competitive pricing.

Secondary Operations Available if Needed
Step three: Sintering may be the final operation on a simple structure component, but dependent upon the complexity of the component, we can add a secondary operation or heat treatment.
Options include machining, grinding, deburring, plating, coating, oil impregnation, and more.

Powder Metal Components

February 18th, 2021

Are you interested in SIGNIFICANT cost savings by converting a machined component to powder metal? Contact us today to see if we can unlock some savings for you.

The powder metal (also called sintered metal) process consists of three basic steps; powder blending, die compaction and sintering. Dry powder is pressed into a mold that produces precise parts and then goes through a sintering process to create a stable part. This process is best suited for smaller complex parts that require tight tolerances.
